EMO FRITE is one of the smaller yet well-recognized European frit & enamel
manufacturers when the quality of products and the reliability in business are concerned.
Is a private enterprise, with its priority activities being those of development,
production and marketing of frits and enamels for enamelling industry, frits and glazes
for ceramic industry as well as selling of know-how in this branch. Today over sixty
percent of its products and know-how is being exported to countries throughout the world.
Since 1996 we have been doing business in accordance with the ISO standards
9001, which has been, last but not least, proved by obtaining a certificate, issued by the
international institution BVQI from London.

The beginnings of frit and enamel production in Celje go seventy years back into the past and are closely connected with the development of once worldwide renowned enamel-ware factory Westen, established in 1894. In the period from 1928 to 1930 the factory introduced its own process of smelting frits according to German formulas. It was, nevertheless, the year 1947 that can be considered a turning-point in the history of the factory as well as the beginning of its own frit development in Celje. At that time a group of engineers, led by an internationally recognized enamel expert, Mr.Hubert Ankerst, established a development-research laboratory.The plant that initially produced frits and enamels solely for the needs of the enamel-ware manufacturer EMO, has in the course of time gained sufficient knowledge and experience to have been able to diversify its production programme, modernize the equipment and also start supplying its products to other users worldwide. |

EMO FRITE enamels can be used for enamelling cooking utensils, components for cookers, washing machines and water heaters as well as various sanitary ware, whereas ceramic glazes can be used for wall and floor tiles as well as for applied and decorative ceramics. At buyer's request frits and enamels for other purposes can be developed and manufactured as well. Our products are made of top quality raw materials, whereas all stages of production from the preparation to the final product are monitored by the quality control laboratory. |

FRITS FOR STEEL SHEET

| We produce four types of powder enamels: - NEW - - Easy to clean powder enamel, which is direct enamel with all properties of easy clean enamel and suitable for electrostatic spraying. - Ground coat powder enamel, which is suitable for electrostatic spraying and is used as any other ground coat enamel in a normal process 1C/1F (on coat, one firing) or in a special process 2C/1F(two coat, one firing). - Cover coat powder enamel, which is suitable for electrostatic spraying and is usually used with ground coat enamel, powder or wet in process 2C/1F (two coats, one firing) or 2C/2F (two coats, two firing). - RTU ground coat enamel (premix), which is used in a special process 2C/1F (two coats, one firing). The first coat represents RTU enamel, which is mixed with water and sprayed. The second coat is cover coat powder enamel applied with electrostatic spraying over the RTU ground coat enamel. Both enamels are then fired only once. |
| Ground coat enamels for steel sheet: - are multi-purpose enamels to be applied on cooking utensils, flat components and sanitary ware, as well as on thicker or problematic metal sheet and are usually a mixture of two, three or four frits, depending on the buyer's requirements. The mixing of frits enables optimum adherence within a wide firing range. |
