Our company has a long and rich history. Beginnings of the frit and enamel production in Celje have started almost one century ago, more specifically in the end of the 20s and beginning of 30s of the 20. century and are closely related to the development of once worldwide famous factory of enameled cookware Westen, which was founded in 1894.

In the years between 1928 and 1930, the factory itself started to melt frits according to German recipes.

An important milestone of our company was in the year 1947, when factory started with its own development of frits in Celje. Back then a group of engineers, led by an internationally recognized expert in enamels Hubert Ankerst, set up a research and development laboratory to develop ground and acid resistant frits. After 1954 they also started producing titanium frits and from 1977 also frits for ceramic glazes.

The production of our company which originally manufactured frits and enamels only for the needs of EMO factory cookware, has gained so much knowledge and experience over the years that we could expand our production program, modernize our equipment and began to supply also other users of these types of products worldwide.

Since the year 1996 we are also working in accordance with the quality standard ISO 9001, which was released by international institution BV – BEREAU VERITAS from London.

In the year 2000 there was also placed a continuous line for the production of powder enamels for electrostatic powder coating. With this action we completed our production program with all products that are used today in the field of enameling industry

In the year 2005 we also added melting of ceramic frits for bonds for grinding wheels to our production program.

With our complete assortment of products we are present today as a strong and successful supplier of frits and enamels worldwide.
